Club Med Ixtapa Pacific
Ixtapa, Mexico·Club

Read with caution for couples, no reviews since June 2025.
Club Med Ixtapa Pacific feels less like a polished luxury resort and more like a lively beach camp for families, in the best sense. The setting does a lot of the heavy lifting: a wide, swimmable beach with warm water, soft sand, and sunset views that guests rave about again and again. The real personality comes from the activity lineup and staff energy. Flying trapeze, tennis, sailing, archery, kids club, teen programming, and casual nightly entertainment give the place a social, upbeat rhythm, and many families say it is one of the few vacations where both parents and kids genuinely relax. The tradeoff is that the resort itself shows its age. Rooms are commonly described as clean but dated, and food gets mixed reviews, with some guests loving the variety and others finding it inconsistent. Service is usually warm, though a few repeat visitors felt standards had slipped, especially around maintenance and logistics. If you want sleek rooms, gourmet dining, or a grown-up party scene, this probably is not your spot. If you want an easy, activity-filled beachfront week where kids are happy and everyone has something to do, it makes a strong case.
